A photojournalist for more than 20 years, Steven Herppich has spent his entire career doing what he loves most – capturing important moments in the lives of others. His true passion lies in creating photo essays that tell compelling stories. Whether shooting a family celebration, a wedding day or a news event, his favorite part of being a photographer is documenting a story as it unfolds.

Steven is a native Midwesterner who now calls the Pacific Northwest home. Before moving to Olympia, Washington, he worked for newspapers in Virginia, New York and Ohio. His pictures have appeared in publications such as Time, Newsweek, USA Today as well as other newspapers all over the country.

Throughout his career, Steven has received several honors, including awards in the University of Missouri’s Pictures of the Year International, the National Press Photographers Association's Best of Photojournalism, the Associated Press Annual Awards, the Gordon Parks International Photography Competition, the Society of Newspaper Design, and the Society of Professional Journalists.

Steven is available for wedding/special event photography and editorial assignments in Seattle, Tacoma, Olympia, Portland and other cities in the Pacific Northwest.
